100,000 manhours reached on site at ENGIE Fabricom’s yard in Fort Saskatchewan, Alberta, Canada

A p r282016

A major milestone has been reached at ENGIE Fabricom in Canada: 100,000 manhours worked on site at ENGIE Fabricom's modular assembly yard in Fort Saskatchewan, Alberta, Canada, with no Lost Time Incident!

We targeted zero lost time incidents, and we made it! This represents a great achievement for ENGIE Fabricom, who entered the Western Canadian market only 2.5 years ago, in September 2013, and who prides itself in never compromising on safety. Our success in reaching this key milestone is the result of constant hard work to build a new and smarter safety culture. At ENGIE Fabricom in Canada, we have rebuilt our safety policies and tools taking into account innovative ideas not only from our HSE professionals but also from all of our field staff. This approach has allowed us to place employee commitment and innovation at the core of our safety culture.

Since being awarded a 80-module contract with Sunlake Co., the Canadian division of SK Engineering, as part of Fort Hills Project in May 2015, as well as a second module contract in March 2016, 19 modules have been assembled and shipped successfully from our yard to our clients, in perfect alignment with our motto: Safely, on Time and on Budget. Work has been performed by our experience team of field professionals, including ironworkers, pipefitters, equipment and crane operators, laborers, scaffolders, electricians, insulators. We hope to reach a new milestone of 200,000 manhours with no Lost Time Incident before the end of the year.

We believe there's a new energy rising in Canada's Western Industry – the energy to move forward.
